Container loading estimator
How many cartons fit into a 20ft, 40ft or 40ft high-cube container.
Shipment details
| Container | Cartons | Limited by | Space used |
|---|
The estimate assumes uniform cartons in a regular pattern. Palletisation, lashing space and non-stackable goods reduce real capacity. Internal dimensions vary slightly between lines.
Request a Quote →Knowing which container your cargo fits, and which option is more economical, affects both order quantity and the delivery term you agree. This tool estimates capacity from your carton dimensions and weight.
How it calculates
The tool tests all six carton orientations, selects the best regular stacking pattern, then checks the result against the container's payload. Where weight is the binding constraint, that figure governs.
Limits of the estimate
The calculation assumes uniform cartons in a regular pattern. Mixed loads, lashing space, palletisation and non-stackable goods all reduce real capacity. Internal dimensions also vary slightly between shipping lines.
Send us the cargo details and we will compare FCL against LCL for your lane.
